We are currently in search of an experienced OTP Nurse for our XX location.
The Charge Nurse at Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health and all its subsidiaries (Kolmac or the Company) Under supervision of the Medical Director, responsible for attaining and maintaining optimum and qualitative level of nursing coverage for all program and dispensing and medical operations.
Responsible for supervision, encouragement and motivation of nurses and interns and coordination with other departments and external stakeholders.
Adheres to Company Standards of conduct as delineated on the Statement of Ethics signed during New Employee OrientationMaintains a cooperative and positive attitude and approach to patients, staff and visitorsEmployee is expected to perform all duties within a 40-hour week Performs all job responsibilities of Charge Nurse Supervises all other OTP nursing staff within the agency including providing recommendations as to hiring, termination, evaluation and discipline Develops and manages nursing schedules assuring coverage for vacancies and absences to ensure adequate coverage for optimal medication process for patient populationManages and maintains inventory of on-site medications in compliance with the U.

Drug Enforcement (DEA), COMAR, and CARF regulations Responsible for the accuracy of the inventory of methadone, buprenorphine and any other medications that are maintained in the dispensaryResponsible to order medications and all other supplies needed in the dispensary and for the OTP patients through communications with pharmaceutical distributors and vendersProperly disposes of medical waste in compliance with U.

DEA, Maryland state (COMAR) and local regulationsResponsible for maintaining the upkeep and preventive maintenance of medical equipment including medication pumps, EKG machines, etc.
Conducts health monitoring assessments for patients to include Adult BMI Screening, Generic Health Monitoring (BP, R, Temp, etc), Tobacco use screening and smoking cessation counseling, Assures communicable disease risk assessments is done on all consumers, other assessments as assignedOversees administration of PPD to all consumersProvides training on medical issues to nursing and clinical staffDispenses methadone, buprenorphine and IM injectionsAssures accuracy and completeness of all progress notesAudits patient charts regularly to ensure compliance to protocolsConducts employee performance improvement activities and prepare reports according to expected timeframesParticipates in treatment team meetingsParticipate in review of new, readmission and transfer patientsReview and resolve client concerns and formal complaints with guidance from Medical and Program DirectorDevelop and maintain professional relationships with external stakeholders; other agencies, community, and etc.
Provide supervision and intervention in crisis management situationsAssist OTP Clinical Program Administrator and OTP Medical Director in daily program operationEnsures client notes regarding critical client matters are submitted in a timely mannerPerforms miscellaneous job-related dutiesOther duties as assigned Graduation from an accredited school of nursingLicensed with the state of Maryland as RN or LPNCPR certified within 3 months of hireMust have strong knowledge of nursing functions, medication assisted treatments for opioid use disorder, mental health medications as well as maintenance medicationsMay be required to submit to annual TB and rubella screening, candidate may decline vaccination through declination form or may provide record of vaccination from previous employer.
